Charlottetown’s economy continues to grow. The Conference Board of Canada has reported that from 2005 to 2013 that Charlottetown created more than 5,800 jobs, and generated positive real GDP growth in every single year, including the economic slowdown of 2008 and 2009.
International consulting firm KPMG has consistently ranked Charlottetown as one of the lowest cost business centers in North America. This high-value location for commerce has proven cost advantages in business services, specialized manufacturing, bio-technology among other areas.
